9/11 Poems

The FOLLOWING are 3 poems about 9/11/01 when 4 planes hit our Twin Towers, Pentagon and a field in PA. The first is about the day it happened, following by 4 yrs later same date, and today 9/11/10 which is 9 yrs later. If I have more poems I find inbetween these annivesarys I shall share them on this same page!! Thanx for viewing.

America Under Attack 9.11.01

As I watched the TV,
A horror was to be found.
First both towers of the World Trade Center struck,
Then fall to the ground.

So with the Pentagon,
Each with 1 plane alone.
4 planes hijacked,
All of them our own.

Thousands dead,
Many lost.
All at such,
A sad cost.

Fear forgotten,
Hurt so near.
As each American,
Sheds a tear.

American under attack,
We now are angry so.
But God is in control,
This much we know.

So I pray for America,
I weep for us all.
Its sad it takes this,
To bring Amercia back to God to call.

4 Years Later I Recall 9.11.05

Its been 4 years,
But I remember it so clear.
When many died,
And the nation grew near.

9/11 was terrible,
The towers fell.
The Pentegon hit,
We thought we in hell.

I still remember,
The news broke my heart.
But God was in control,
From the very start.

We remember today,
That thousands were lost.
We must not forget,
No matter what the cost.

It hurts my heart,
To just see.
That is what,
9/11 means to me.

So 4 years later,
I will not forget.
When the twin towers,
And Pentegon were hit.

9 Years 9/11 9.11.10

The Towers fell,
One then two.
Pentegon hit and in PA,
Where the plane once flew.

Thousands of lives lost,
Evil act to see.
This was 9/11,
9 years ago it was to be.

I saw the holes of the World Trade Center,
Where they once stood in place.
The signs of missed loved ones,
Each and every face.

I felt the pain as I talked to firemen,
Who lost so many to the day.
when evil acts tried,
To take our freedom away.

Let us not forget all we lost,
Come together again heart to heart.
Do good, fight evil,
Be smart.

For lives were lost,
Not in vain.
If it changed us,
Not the same.

Take a moment,
Pause to recall.
9/11 when planes hit 4 place,
Including making the Twin Towers fall.
